History

I purchased this car in November 2004 as a nearly completed project. I have receipts from a previous owner showing the history of the restoration / rebuild 5 years or so ago to an immaculate standard! I have done what I can, so far, to keep her that way :o)

Engine reconditioned, larger carburettor, K&N air filter, straight through exhaust, both sub-frames replaced, car under-sealed, new windows front and back, completely re-sprayed (comes with spray paint and touch up kit to precise colour), chrome accessories all over (see photos) halogen headlight conversion, 4 driving spot lights, new colour coded petrol tank, new 10" Minilites with Yoko tyres, colour coded break drums, new break piping etc, walnut effect dash, new carpet underlay and carpets with new mats, new ceiling lining, all new window trims, etc. So much to list... see what you can find in the photos!

When I bought it, there was an oil leak on the crank seal to attend to, the rear breaks to completely renew, the radiator hoses to replace, the alternator to replace, and a full service to be done (new condenser, fan belt, ignition coil, etc.)

The head gasket has been replaced and head lightly skimmed in June 2005.

I have fitted a weather shield as well, to keep the rain and road spray off the electrics.

In December 2005 I had a small patch of rust on the off side rear quarter properly dealt with costing £90 (+VAT)

My total spending to continue the project comes to over £900 (including labour costs where needed) plus maintenance, e.g. head gasket.

The car is MOT'd till December 2007, and Taxed till July 2007. (On her last MOT, the rear brakes needed bedding in again due to under use at just 3,000 miles per year, and a gator needed replacing)

I would recommend Lancaster Insurance www.lancaster-ins.co.uk as they quoted me under £192 fully comp and join you to the Mini Owners Club at the same time, and included an agreed valuation each year.

The Mini has been serviced with a local garage, and looked after well as they themselves are closet Mini enthusiasts!

This car is in brilliant condition for its age and the first person to see it will without doubt buy it - I did! All receipts were passed on to me when I bought it documenting everything that was spent on it during its rebuild.

Valued at £2,800 in November 2006 by the National Mini Owners Club for insurance purposes with Certificate

I am selling Norah (my Mini) because I cannot afford to keep 2 cars on the road and to put so many miles on her each day would be sad for a car with such low mileage for her age. So she has to go, and the Punto must stay :o( Head 1 : Heart 0

I'm buying a house and a ring!!!
